Sometimes I forget that I live in Paris. I know it sounds ridiculous but do you ever get so caught up in work or life that you forget to look up? That's been me for the past few weeks. I'm finally snapping out of it and really just taking advantage of every day. I'm also learning to not be so hard on myself and to just enjoy where I'm at in life. Prior to moving here, Paris is the only city I had visited in France. Now that I actually live here I'm trying to make an effort to truly experience France (which is so much more than just Paris). So when I got the opportunity to go to Lyon I knew I had to go. The main reason I was so excited to visit Lyon is because Anthony Bourdain went there for an episode of his show "Parts Unknown" and the food looked amazing. I have so much to be thankful for and I really can't even explain how grateful I am that I get to wake up every day and live my dream. This was my first Thanksgiving away from my family and that's one of the downsides of living so far away...you can't always go home when you want. I had my first real melt down this week lol. I'm definitely out of the "honeymoon phase". The biggest challenge right now is the language.
